Share fabric blend, weight, weave or knit, measurement charts, size grading, sewing standards, approved colors and a wash-test expectation. For seasonal womenswear, include fit samples and a clear assortment plan; for uniforms, emphasize repeatability, durability and color matching over trend breadth. Ask suppliers to distinguish sample lead time from bulk production lead time.
Plan UAE resale compliance and packaging
Importer responsibilities, labels and product classification depend on the garment and sales channel. Ask a UAE customs broker or compliance specialist to confirm current marking and documentation requirements, including Arabic information where applicable. Specify whether goods ship flat-folded, on hangers or in mixed cartons, and whether the Dubai warehouse needs pre-priced labels or individual SKU identification.
Price the complete supply program
Obtain quotations covering fabric, trims, labels, retail packing, export cartons, sampling, inspection and freight assumptions. Compare a small test assortment with a replenishment order: per-unit prices, leftover stock risk and lead times can differ substantially. Confirm shipping terms and the importer of record before agreeing payment milestones.
Build a repeatable supplier relationship
